  PACKING TIPS  


Some don’ts and do’s to observe when packing household or office items.

Don’t transport or store the following dangerous items…

• Ammunition
• New or partially used cans of paint
• Linseed oil
• Bleach products
• Gas cylinders (unless emptied)
• Turpentine
• Kerosene
• Petrol
• Cleaning fluids
• Aerosols of any kind
• Vegetable oils
• Chemical sets, etc…

Do…

• Have one last look around…the garden, garage, etc
• Pick up items left at the drycleaners, the shoe repair shop, etc
• Turn off the power, gas, water heater
• Lock all windows and doors
• Surrender all old house keys

Don’t...

• Put breakables in drawers
• Put liquid in drawers (sauce bottles, perfumes etc.)
• Overload furniture
• Store perishable foods such as cereals, flours etc.
• Polish furniture prior to moving
• Store or box jewelry, money, legal documents, tax papers, insurance policies or   other documents or high-value articles. Keep personal items with personal   luggage.
• Forget to tell us EVERYTHING you want moved. It’s your responsibility to check   before the vehicle(s) depart.
