Williams shifted its business focus in 1948 to become a freight forwarder and an international shipper of household effects. 1924 – B.L. Williams starts out as an inter-island ship's agent and chandler, servicing the Bahamas, the Caymans, Turks and Caicos and other major islands.
1948 – Business shifts focus; B.L. Williams becomes international shipper of household effects, and freight forwarder.
1960 – B.L. Williams becomes only certified International Airport Transport Association (IATA) cargo agent in Jamaica.
1970s – Political instability sees company sold to silent partners.
1978 – The company changes hands a second time and begins dealing in wide range of global products and services.
